Pregnancy Time

Pregnancy is a very exciting time for families. Women experience many changes to their bodies during pregnancy...

Routine Prenatal Care is vital in the well-being of expecting mothers & their growing fetus. At least three ultrasounds are needed during pregnancy to confirm gestational age, verify fetal anatomy, and monitor fetal growth. Some pregnancies may require additional care due to increases risks in mothers with preexisting conditions or for conditions that may develop during pregnancy. These include high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, infections, as well as fetal malformations.

Pregnant women generally take prenatal vitamins as well as supplemental iron. We monitor your blood for anemia as well as immune status from infectious diseases that are harmful to the fetus during pregnancy such as German measles, Hepatitis B, Syphilis and HIV. In addition, we also monitor for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Urinary Tract Infections. It is important to treat such diseases early in pregnancy to have optimal outcomes for the mother & baby.
